RuneScape: Dragonwilds on Xbox Game Pass and PS Plus
Which subscription tiers include the game, how the subscription version differs from buying it, who benefits, and how to check before you subscribe.
On launch day, 15 September 2026, the game arrived on Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus at the same time.
- Xbox side: Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass. That covers cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
- PlayStation side: PS Plus Extra and Premium.
Subscriptions include the full base game. The Deluxe cosmetics still cost $9.99 as a separate upgrade.

The most reliable check is the Xbox store page. Look for the “Included in these subscriptions” block; it lists the tiers that currently include the game.
One more thing: the game has no subscription of its own. You do not need to subscribe to it. A subscription is just one way to get it.
How the subscription version differs
- Content: subscriptions give the full base game, including the Kuldra storyline and every free update.
- Deluxe cosmetics: not included. Buy the $9.99 upgrade if you want them.
- Saves and crossplay: unaffected by how you bought the game. They depend on your account and world settings.
- Risk: subscription catalogues change. The game could leave the catalogue at some point. A purchased copy cannot.
Who subscriptions suit
Good fit: players who have not decided whether they will stick with it, people already inside a subscription period, and anyone who wants to finish the story before committing.
Poor fit: players who know they will play for months. The buy-in is $29.99; a few months of subscription can pass that, and the game can leave the catalogue at any time.
How to check before subscribing
- Open the Xbox store page and check whether the game still appears under “Included in these subscriptions”.
- On PlayStation, check the PS Plus Extra or Premium catalogue entry.
- If you only want to play on PC, make sure you are on PC Game Pass and not a console-only tier.
Discord Quest and other limited-time promotions
In September 2026, Discord ran a limited-time Discord Quest tied to the game.
It is a Discord platform promotion, not an in-game quest. You pick it up in the Discord Quests panel, meet the play requirement, then claim the reward.
Eligibility, rewards and end dates are set by the promotion page and change over time. Jagex has not documented the details in its own announcements, so this wiki does not quote a reward figure. Check the Discord promotion page for the current terms.
